Mrs. GREEN APPLE Sets New RIAJ Record, Yonezu's 'KICK BACK' Hits Diamond

The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has issued its streaming certifications for December 2025. Mrs. GREEN APPLE's "Boku no Koto" and Kenshi Yonezu's "KICK BACK" both earned Diamond certification.

Mrs. GREEN APPLE now holds eight Diamond-certified songs, setting a new record for the most Diamond certifications by any artist in RIAJ history.

Kenshi Yonezu's "KICK BACK," the opening theme for the anime Chainsaw Man, also reached the Diamond milestone.

Other notable certifications from the month include Utada Hikaru's "First Love," Aimer's "Kataomoi," and Vaundy's "Tokyo Flash," which all received Triple Platinum status.

Double Platinum certifications went to sumika's "Lovers," HANA's "ROSE," back number's "Watagashi," Macaroni Empitsu's "Young Adult," and Yorushika's "Haru." Two more Mrs. GREEN APPLE tracks, "Shunshu" and "Kusushiki," also reached Double Platinum.

In total, 24 works achieved Platinum status, and 41 received Gold certification. The RIAJ's full list of certified works is available on their website.
