Akasaka Aka Pens Lyrics for 'Kami to Miko' Game Theme Song

The theme song for the puzzle adventure game 'Kami to Miko' (God and Miko) is now available. Titled 'Namida to Katachi', the track features lyrics by manga creator Akasaka Aka and vocals by Ikkyu Nakajima of the band tricot.

Composer Tadayuki Ito handled the music. The full music video, which uses footage from the game, premiered on SCRAP's YouTube channel.

Akasaka described the song as a 'love story', noting the melody evoked imagery of 'the sea, wind, and human activity'. Nakajima said the blend of 8-bit sounds and traditional Japanese tones pulled her into the game's world.

Players take the role of a 'god' solving puzzles across human history with a reincarnating partner named Miko. Akasaka provided the scenario and character designs.

The digital 'play now' edition of 'Kami to Miko' is priced at 3,500 yen. A physical 'special edition' with additional materials is also available for 6,930 yen from retailers including Amazon Japan and Rakuten.
