DOES Announces First Australian Tour After South American Shows

The rock band DOES has completed its first South American tour dates and will perform in Australia for the first time in October 2026.

The band played shows in Lima, Peru on July 17 and Santiago, Chile on July 19 as part of its "HELLO AMERICA" tour. DOES also performed at the FLOW THE ANIME ROCK 2026 festival in Mexico City.

Vocalist and guitarist Wataru Ujihara posted reflections on social media after the shows. In Peru, he described the fans' faces as "beautiful, dazzling, and warm like the sun." From Chile, he wrote about being enveloped by "cheers that pierced through my body" and feeling glad to have pursued rock music.

The new Australian dates are set for October 24 at The Forum in Melbourne and October 25 at the Metro Theatre in Sydney.

These concerts are part of the ONGAKU MUSIC FESTIVAL, an event celebrating Japanese music, anime, and pop culture. DOES will share the stage with fellow anime rock band FLOW and Australian act Closure in Moscow, among others.

Ujihara commented on the upcoming trip with a message to FLOW: "And first, we're going to Australia. FLOW, let's do this."

DOES, formed in Fukuoka in 2003, is known for theme songs for the anime series Gintama ("Shura," "Donten") and Naruto: Shippuden ("Guren"). The band resumed activities in 2020 after a hiatus.
