DUSTCELL Releases Music Video for '憂いの化け物'

The video was directed by Satoru Araki, with character design and animation by Zombie? Numata. Its narrative follows a 'perfect honor student' created by an algorithm who begins to break down, exploring a theme of becoming human through imperfection.

In a statement, director Araki described the protagonist as reaching a limit with hidden 'human errors' like emotion and chaos. Animator Numata said the character designs were based on the motif of a 'burst canned fish,' representing something confined breaking free.

The song is featured on DUSTCELL's ongoing national tour, which includes upcoming dates in Nagoya on February 20, Sapporo on March 15, and Tokyo on March 18. The album '碧い海' includes the RPG 'Honkai: Star Rail' image song 'Hikkyou' and the ending themes for TV anime 'Gachiakuta' and 'Kimi wa Meidosama.'
