Guiano releases third album 'The Sky' after five years

Guiano has released his third full-length album, 'The Sky'. It is his first album in five years, following 2021's 'A'. The lead single, 'せかいのしくみ' (The Mechanism of the World), and its music video were also released.

The 15-track album includes previously released songs 'ネハン' and '藍空、ミラー', as well as the collaborative track '私はキャンバス feat. しほ'. A short story written by Guiano, titled '表現者' (The Expresser), is included with the physical release. The album is themed around the Buddhist concept of '空' (kuu).

In a statement, Guiano described the album as a philosophical conclusion reached over the past five years and a prayer for living in the present.

The music video for the lead single 'せかいのしくみ' premiered on YouTube. The song's lyrics deal with powerlessness, set against a hyperpop-influenced sound that foregrounds the words. The track was mixed by D.O.I. and mastered by Takeo Kira.

'The Sky' is available on major streaming platforms. Physical copies with bonus items like an A4 clear file and sticker are available via Japanese retailers.
