HIMEHINA releases new song 'Frankenstein no Kaibutsu' after one-year gap

Virtual artist unit HIMEHINA has released their first new song in about a year. The music video for 'Frankenstein no Kaibutsu' (Frankenstein's Monster) premiered on July 31, with the track now available on streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

The song is a dance track featuring a rapid-fire rap and operatic chorus. It uses the Frankenstein monster motif to explore themes of humanity and existence. Gohgo, who has produced several of the unit's previous hits, handled lyrics and music production. The music video presents a gothic aesthetic with horror elements.

To mark the release, limited-edition merchandise is available for pre-order, including two color variants of a 'Monster Trainer' sweatshirt and an acrylic stand.

HIMEHINA is currently on their 'LIFETIME is BUBBLIN' world tour, which began in November 2025. The tour includes stops in Japan, Taipei, Seoul, and San Jose, California, the first solo world tour by a VTuber act. A Tokyo homecoming show is scheduled for August 11 at Zepp DiverCity, with a two-day grand finale set for October 3-4 at SGC HALL ARIAKE.
