Idiot Pop releases new single 'Tokeru / Tokenai' featuring Kasane Teto

Idiot Pop released a new single, 'Tokeru / Tokenai,' on May 15. The track features the vocaloid Kasane Teto.

The song is a techno track built around the ambiguous theme of "melting/not coming undone." A repeating synth line and minimal beat create a subdued tension, while Kasane Teto's whispered vocals blend into the atmosphere.

Idiot Pop, who cites the innovative 90s work of producer Tetsuya Komuro as a key influence, has been active since 2009. The artist's first self-released album sold out its 1,000-copy run in one month. Their work spans production for commercials and other artists, including former Tsubaki Factory member Yume Kishimoto and Up Up Girls (2).
