Kawanishi Natsuki releases new single 'The First Star', announces summer live

Singer-songwriter Kawanishi Natsuki released the digital single 'The First Star' (一番星) on May 1. The song was written as the theme for the popular 'Yonchan Mountaineering Club' segment on MBS TV's 'Yonchan TV' program.

The track features a light piano sound paired with Natsuki's clear vocals.

Natsuki wrote the song from a feeling of wanting to keep moving forward, even through detours. "The time and encounters that have supported you step by step are surely what support you," she commented. "I hope this song becomes one that makes you believe in yourself during the time you are working hard toward something."

She completed her first Asia tour, 'last piece', from December to February, with stops in Tokyo, Osaka, South Korea, and Taiwan. Her song 'Tokyo' was also used in a TV commercial for the Nagasaki Chanpon restaurant chain Linga Hatta.

Kawanishi Natsuki will host a live event titled 'palette' on July 3 at Yoyogi LODGE in Tokyo. The lineup includes fellow artists Banjotani Sae, Leola, and Arika. Ticket sales began on May 1.
