Live-Action 'Look Back' Film Soundtrack Announced, Composed by Yutai Bando

The original soundtrack for the live-action film adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's acclaimed manga 'Look Back' will be released on September 12, 2026. The music is composed by Yutai Bando.

The film, directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda, premieres at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival before its Japanese theatrical release on September 11. It stars Natsuki Deguchi and Aju Makita.

Bando's score centers on classical guitar, featuring performances by noted musicians including Kihye Park, Takuya Okamoto, Gensuke Kanki, and Daiku Kimishima.

"The theme song Yutai Bando sent became a major guideline for this production," director Kore-eda said in a statement. "I am certain it was his music that produced that miracle."
