Lyric Video for HoneyWorks Song from Netflix Anime 'Cho Kaguya Hime!' Released

A lyric video for the song "Watashi wa, Watashi no Koto ga Suki." from the Netflix original anime film Cho Kaguya Hime! is now available. The song is performed by the character Kaguya, voiced by Natsuyoshi Yuko, and was composed by the popular Vocaloid producer unit HoneyWorks.

The film premiered globally on Netflix on January 22, 2026. It is the first feature-length directorial work by animation creator Seigo Yamashita, known for his opening sequences for series like Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man. The project is animated by Studio Colorido (Penguin Highway) and Studio Chromat, a new studio led by Yamashita.

The soundtrack features contributions from several notable Vocaloid producers, including ryo (supercell), kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra, and yuigot.

The lyric video compiles scenes tracing Kaguya's journey with her friend Saya Sakayose as they strive to become popular "livers" (live streamers) in the virtual world Tsukuyomi. Their goal is to organize a collaborative live performance with the virtual songstress Yachiyo Tsukimi.

The film ranked number one in Japan's "Today's Top 10" films the day after its premiere and appeared in top 10 lists in multiple regions internationally.

The character Kaguya will also appear as a 3D avatar at the Sanrio Virtual Festival, a global VR event accessible via VRChat. She is scheduled to perform "Watashi wa, Watashi no Koto ga Suki." during four separate time slots on February 14-15 and March 7-8, 2026. Attendance requires joining the "CHILL PARK" world within VRChat at the specified showtimes.

Cho Kaguya Hime! is streaming now on Netflix.
