MIYEON of (G)I-DLE Releases First Japanese Solo Single 'RUN AWAY'

MIYEON of K-pop group (G)I-DLE has released her first Japanese solo digital single, "RUN AWAY." The track and its music video are now available on major streaming platforms.

The song blends rock band instrumentals with MIYEON's vocals. She participated in writing the lyrics. The music video features her performing with a guitar on a beach and running through streets in Tokyo.

In a Q&A released by her agency CUBE ENTERTAINMENT, MIYEON said she wanted to create a relaxing song that could provide energy. She described "RUN AWAY" as the most upbeat track among her solo releases. "I wrote the lyrics with the feeling of shouting 'Let's do it!' or 'GO!' without hesitation," she said.

MIYEON kept the project a secret from fans, known as NEVERLAND, as a surprise. "I hope you can gain energy from this song during the humid summer," she said.

The single follows (G)I-DLE's recent group promotions for their 9th mini album 'We made'.
