Mushi Kamayatsu's Early 90s Trilogy Released Worldwide

Three solo albums by Japanese music icon Mushi Kamayatsu are now available on global streaming platforms. The albums, released between 1990 and 1991, were previously difficult to access internationally.

The trilogy includes 'IN AND OUT' (1990), 'pittoresque' (1991), and 'Fragrance' (1991). They feature collaborations with Yumi Matsutoya, Miki Imai, and lyricist Yui Nishiwaki.

The albums blend late City Pop aesthetics with the emerging Shibuya-kei sound of the mid-90s. The production involved session musicians like drummer Nob Saito and bassist Kenji Takamizu.
