Netflix to Exclusively Stream 'Chou Kaguya Hime!' Worldwide

On January 22, 2026, Netflix will exclusively stream the original animation 'Chou Kaguya Hime!' globally. Directed by Shingo Yamashita, known for his work on 'Jujutsu Kaisen' and 'Chainsaw Man.' The animation received over 15 million views by late November upon the release of its teaser visual and trailer.

The project features music by notable Vocaloid producers including ryo (supercell), kz(livetune), and HoneyWorks. The story unfolds in the virtual world of 'Tsukuyomi.' Animation production is a collaboration between Studio Colorido and Studio Chromato.

Additional characters and their voice actors have been announced. Miyu Irino voices Akira Mikado, leader of the pro-gamer group 'Black Onyx,' with Yuma Uchida and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka voicing members Rai Komazawa and Noe Komazawa, respectively. Other cast members include Yoshino Aoyama, Konomi Kohara, Ai Fairouz, and Natsuki Hanae.

The main theme, 'Ex-Otogibanashi,' is performed by Saori Hayami as Tsukimi Yachiyo. Original songs are provided by ryo (supercell), Yuigot, Aqu3ra, HoneyWorks, 40mP, and kz(livetune). The animation blends high-sense visuals and dynamic 3D camera work.
