New Action Scenes and Merchandise Revealed for 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime' Movie

Twelve new action scene images have been released for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie - Tears of the Blue Sea. The film premieres in Japan on February 27, 2026.

The visuals highlight the film's original characters, Yura and Zodon, and show Rimuru Tempest and his allies in tense combat situations. The story follows Rimuru's vacation group as they get entangled in a conspiracy within the underwater Kaien Kingdom after meeting the shrine maiden Yura.

A lineup of 25 original merchandise items was also announced. Goods include acrylic stands and a program booklet featuring the characters in resort-style artwork.

The merchandise will be available at Japanese theaters starting February 27. The program booklet will also be sold online through A-on STORE, which typically offers international shipping.

The film is the second theatrical installment in the popular isekai franchise, following 2022's That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie - Scarlet Bond, which earned over 1.4 billion yen. A fourth season of the TV anime is scheduled to begin in April 2026.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie - Tears of the Blue Sea premieres in Japan on February 27, 2026. The film's theme song is "Utopia" by TRUE.
