New 'Slime' Movie Promotional Stills Show Cast on Vacation

New promotional images for the upcoming film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie - Tears of the Blue Sea have been released. The nine stills depict the main cast enjoying a resort vacation.

The characters Rimuru, Veldora, Benimaru, Shuna, Shion, Souei, Gobta, Hinata, Luminous, Elmesia, and Milim are shown relaxing on an island. They wear resort clothing while sightseeing, eating local food, and fishing.

The film opens in Japanese theaters on February 27, 2026.

The story follows Rimuru Tempest and his allies as they encounter Yura, a shrine maiden from the underwater nation of Kaien. After finishing their Founding Festival, the group takes a brief vacation, which is where they meet Yura and become involved in a new conflict.

The voice cast includes returning actors such as Miho Okasaki as Rimuru, Tomoaki Maeno as Veldora, M・A・O as Shion, and Lynn as Luminous.

New cast members include Nao Kosaka and Kaho Fujishima from the idol group Hinatazaka46. They make their voice acting debuts playing the roles of Mio and Yori, handmaidens who support Yura.

The film's theme song, "Utopia," will be performed by TRUE.

The franchise's light novel and manga adaptations have sold over 56 million copies. A fourth season of the TV anime has been confirmed for April 2026.
