NIJISANJI EN's BY THE BEAT Announces 'MERORI' Music Video Premieres

The NIJISANJI EN unit BY THE BEAT will premiere two music videos for their second digital single this month. The English version, "MERORI," premieres August 19 at 22:00 JST. The Japanese version, "Boku ni Merori," follows on August 25 at the same time.

Both videos will debut on the BY THE BEAT official YouTube channel. Waiting rooms for the premieres are now live. The tracks are available on streaming platforms.

The music video concept depicts people at a night pool being portrayed as mascots who become infatuated with the four BY THE BEAT members. The production includes a "meromero gauge," comedic effects, and dance scenes.

"MERORI" is a dance track that blends Latin music with Japanese pop melodies. The theme is the Japanese slang term "meroi," describing a state of being lovestruck or captivated.

Songwriter MUTEKI DEAD SNAKE, known for work with Snow Man and M!LK, handled composition and lyrics. Choreographer Getz, who has worked across anime, game, and VTuber projects, created the dance. The choreography uses heart motifs.

On the single's release day, July 31, the four members held a livestream to discuss the song. During that stream, they released animated dance assets of themselves performing the chorus choreography.

BY THE BEAT is a unit from the English-speaking VTuber group NIJISANJI EN, consisting of Zeal Ginjoka, Freodore, Seible, and Kaelix Debonair. Their first digital single was "Double Vision."
