Osananajimi to wa Love Comedy ni Naranai Episode 7 Preview Released

CyberAgent has released the synopsis and scene cuts for Episode 7 of the TV anime 'Osananajimi to wa Love Comedy ni Naranai' (You Can't Make a Love Comedy with Your Childhood Friend). The episode, titled "Even Sharing Love Talk Won't Make a Love Comedy When You're Caught Up in the Festival," airs in Japan on February 16.

The story follows high schooler Kai Yonosuke, who is obsessed with love comedies but believes they can't happen with real childhood friends. Episode 7 deals with the fallout after Akari confesses her feelings to Yonosuke during a trip. He seeks advice from Runako, while Akari panics. Meanwhile, the summer fireworks festival approaches.

The anime is based on the manga by Sanya Mitsure serialized in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket. It is directed by Satoshi Kuwabara, with series composition by Mitsuyoshi Hirota. Tezuka Productions handles the animation.

The opening theme "Airabyu (Heart)" is performed by HoneyWorks featuring the main cast. The ending theme "Amanojyaku" is by Konatamahikari.

For international viewers, the series streams globally on Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, U-NEXT, and other platforms starting February 20. In Japan, it airs on TV Tokyo and streams on d Anime Store and AnimeFesta.

The voice actors Rin Hisakumi and Yuki Yamamoto will appear at a Valentine's Day event in Akihabara on February 15.
