Ranma 1/2 Original Cast Reunites for New Voice Drama on YouTube

The original cast of the iconic anime 'Ranma 1/2' has reunited for a new voice drama, now available globally on YouTube. This special release features voice actors Kappei Yamaguchi as Ranma, Megumi Hayashibara as female Ranma, Noriko Hidaka as Akane, Minami Takayama as Nabiki, and Kikuko Inoue as Kasumi.

Titled "Tendo Family's New Year", the voice drama offers fans a comedic glimpse into the Tendo household during the New Year festivities. It's a continuation of the beloved series that originally aired from 1987 to 1996, created by renowned manga artist Rumiko Takahashi. Her works have sold over 230 million copies worldwide, and she has received numerous international accolades, including the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame induction.

The voice drama is also included as a bonus in the upcoming 'Ranma 1/2' Blu-ray & DVD BOX Vol.2, set for release on October 7, 2026. This box set will feature 12 episodes from the second season of the anime, along with additional special content.
