Rilakkuma Anime Premieres April 4 with Lilas Ikuta as Narrator

The first television anime adaptation of San-X's Rilakkuma premieres April 4 at 9:25 AM on TBS. The series, titled Rilakkuma ~Goyururi Yume no Tabi~ (Rilakkuma ~A Leisurely Dream Journey~), will feature singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta as the narrator and theme song artist.

Production I.G is animating the series. The first promotional video and key visual have been released.

The series will be directed by Tadahiro Itazu (first half) and Yumi Kamakura (second half). Character design is by Chiho Morita. Music is composed by Kota Yokozeki, Zenya Ikeda, and Mizuki Kanno.

In a text comment, director Tadahiro Itazu described the theme as a "leisurely dream journey." He said the hand-drawn animation has a soft touch and features Rilakkuma in new forms.

Character designer Chiho Morita stated she researched the "bear-like qualities" from the original designs to make the characters feel familiar and warm.

The theme song is "stay with me," performed, written, and composed by Lilas Ikuta, with arrangement by KOHD.
