Shukatsu Club Lands First Anime Theme Song for 'Yusha no Rokkotsu'

The Japanese rock band Shukatsu Club will provide the opening theme for the upcoming TV anime Yusha no Rokkotsu (The Hero's Rib). The song, titled "Tensei Ganbou" (Reincarnation Wish), marks the band's first anime tie-in.

The anime is based on a popular web novel where the protagonist, faced with millennia-long wait times for desirable reincarnations like a "cheat-powered harem hero," chooses to be reborn as that hero's rib. It premieres in April 2026.

Shukatsu Club wrote the song after reading the source material. The track is described as an upbeat tune that incorporates the story's worldview.

The anime's production involves notable staff, including director Soejima Yasufumi (Gankutsuou, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) and a voice cast featuring Atsushi Abe, M.A.O, Daisuke Namikawa, and Toshihiko Seki.

Shukatsu Club, formed in Niigata in 2020, recently completed their first Quattro tour in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. They have scheduled a nationwide tour titled "Ensei Ganbou" for April and May 2026, concluding with a major anniversary solo live at Ebisu Liquidroom on May 24.

The band was also recently ranked third in Nippon TV's "Buzz Rhythm 02" annual prediction segment for artists expected to trend in 2026.

The song will be available on global streaming platforms. The anime's official website and social media channels are now live.
