Super Kabuki 'Princess Mononoke' Final Performance to Stream Live

The final performance of the Super Kabuki adaptation of Studio Ghibli's 'Princess Mononoke' will be streamed live worldwide on August 23. Tickets are on sale now.

The production has been running at Tokyo's Shinbashi Enbujo theater since July. The live stream will capture the final show, known as the 'senshuraku'. An exclusive behind-the-scenes documentary, filmed over six months of production, is included with certain ticket tiers.

This adaptation features Ichikawa Dango, Nakamura Ichitaro, and Nakamura Tokizo in the lead roles.

The live stream begins at 4:00 PM JST on August 23. Tickets are priced at 5,500 yen (with documentary) or 4,800 yen (performance only). The stream and documentary will be available on-demand until September 6 at 11:59 PM JST.

The event will be available on multiple platforms, including Hulu, Kabuki On Demand, eplus Streaming+, and Rakuten TV.

Separately, the Kabuki On Demand service will host a special collection of four related stage works from August 1 to October 31. The lineup includes past Super Kabuki productions and other works featuring actors from the 'Mononoke' cast.
