That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 Reveals Theme Songs, Key Visual

The first key visual and promotional video for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 have been released. The opening theme will be "Esoragoto" by Eir Aoi, and the ending theme will be "Katsubou" by CiON.

Season 4 will run for five cours, split into multiple parts. The first two cours will air consecutively starting in April 2026. The newly revealed visual features Rimuru Tempest, Mariabell Rosso, and Yuuki Kagurazaka, shifting the tone from the celebratory atmosphere of Season 3's finale to one hinting at conflict.

Eir Aoi, known for theme songs in series like Sword Art Online and Fate/Zero, described her opening track as an intense rock number meant to match the scale of the story. CiON, a five-member girl group blending brass instruments and idol vocals, stated their ending song layers a "thirst for powerful feelings" over a heavy sound.

The season will premiere on Japanese TV on April 3, 2026, and begin streaming internationally the following day. Platforms confirmed for the simulcast include Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube. The anime will also be available on various Japanese streaming services.

The story continues as the Jura Tempest Federation, having established diplomatic relations, works toward a world where humans and monsters coexist. This progress draws opposition from figures like the former "Hero" Granbell Rosso and his granddaughter Mariabell, setting the stage for a new conflict.

The production staff from Season 3 returns, including director Tsuda Naokatsu and series composer Ogawa Hitomi. Animation is again handled by Eight Bit.

The announcement coincides with the ongoing theatrical run of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond, which has surpassed 1.4 billion yen at the Japanese box office. A special talk event for the film is scheduled for March 8 in Tokyo.
