Time-Travel Romance 'Namidaame to Serenade' Gets 2027 TV Anime

The time-travel romance manga Namidaame to Serenade will be adapted into a TV anime in 2027. The series, written and illustrated by Haruka Kawachi, concluded its 11-year serialization in Kodansha's Kiss magazine in January 2026.

A teaser website has launched, featuring a new commemorative illustration by the original author. The image depicts the main characters, Hina and Takaaki, as children.

The story follows a high school girl named Hina who is suddenly transported from her music class to the year 1907. There, she meets a troubled young man from a wealthy family named Hongo and a girl who looks exactly like her.

The manga is published in 14 volumes. Kawachi's previous work, Natsuyuki Rendezvous, was adapted into a TV anime in 2012.
