Trash Taste to Feature on NHK's New Global Show 'SCHOOL OF J-POP'

The anime-focused creator group Trash Taste will appear on the premiere episode of NHK World Japan's new program, 'SCHOOL OF J-POP'. The episode, airing August 21, will focus on the animated film 'Super Kaguyahime!' and its music.

The show is hosted by Naomi Watanabe.

Trash Taste consists of three creators based in Japan: The Anime Man, Gigguk, and CDawgVA. Their podcast has over 500 million plays. The group's YouTube channel has 1.62 million subscribers.

The episode will also feature musicians Reol, Natsuyoshi Yuko, and voice actor Saori Hayami. The program is mostly in English, with Japanese audio and subtitles.

'SCHOOL OF J-POP' will broadcast in 160 countries and regions. It will air four times on August 21 and 22 (Japan time). Video on demand will be available on the NHK World Japan website and app after the initial broadcast.

The episode will also air on NHK's domestic terrestrial broadcast at a later, unspecified date.
