UNIS Releases First Japanese Mini Album 'UNI☆Sparkle!' and English Single 'Gimme Summer'

UNIS has released their first Japanese mini-album, 'UNI☆Sparkle!'.

The album is themed around Japan's 'kawaii' culture from the Heisei era. It includes the lead track 'Gimme Summer' ('ギミサマ☆'), 'BBY BBY', 'もしもし(ハート)', '幸せになんかならないでね', and a Japanese version of 'SWICY'. The English version of the lead single, 'Gimme Summer', began streaming on August 8.

Members shared stories from the music video shoot in Okinawa and talked about their favorite aspects of Japanese culture, like gachapon capsule toys.

Japanese members Kotoko and Nana highlighted differences between the Korean original and Japanese version of 'SWICY'. The performance segment featured songs produced by HoneyWorks and composed by Koresawa.

The mini-album 'UNI☆Sparkle!' was released on July 31. It is available in standard and limited editions. The English single 'Gimme Summer' is available on digital platforms.

UNIS debuted in 2024 after forming on the SBS audition program 'UNIVERSE TICKET'. The group has since won 16 music and entertainment awards.
