Uru releases 'Sasurai no Uta' as image song for film 'Mirai'

Uru will release her song "Sasurai no Uta" as a digital single on May 8. The track serves as the image song for the Japanese film Mirai (Future), which opens in theaters the same day.

The film is an adaptation of a mystery novel by Keigo Higashino, directed by Takahisa Zeze. The cast includes Yuina Kuroshima, Nanami Yamazaki, Ryuta Bando, Kaho Kondo, Kento Hayashi, and Tori Matsuzaka.

"Sasurai no Uta" is an emotional ballad written and composed by Uru, with arrangement by Kohei Munemoto. It was originally included on her album tone, released in February.

Director Takahisa Zeze described the song as having an atmosphere of "walking under a sunset sky on the way home."

Author Keigo Higashino stated she feels a "prayer" in Uru's singing voice.

The digital single is available for streaming worldwide. Uru will also embark on a nationwide hall tour in Japan this July, marking her 10th major-label debut anniversary.
