YOSHIKI Donates $100,000 to MusiCares for Mental Health Support

YOSHIKI has donated $100,000 to MusiCares, the Recording Academy's charitable foundation. The donation, made through his Yoshiki Foundation America, is designated for mental health support within the music industry.

In an accompanying interview with MusiCares, YOSHIKI discussed the importance of accessible mental health resources. He cited his own experiences, including the loss of his father to suicide and facing online harassment, as driving his advocacy. "Even if you are a rock star, it doesn't mean you are mentally strong," YOSHIKI said. "We are all fragile."

Since 2020, his donations to the organization total over $400,000 for pandemic relief, disaster recovery, and mental health initiatives.

YOSHIKI is currently preparing to return to the stage following his third cervical spine surgery and a year of rehabilitation. He will perform two nights of "YOSHIKI CLASSICAL 2026" at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on July 16 and 17.
