Aira Yuuki and Akito Matsuda Reunite for PixAI's 'The Quiet Joker'

Aira Yuuki and Akito Matsuda have collaborated on a new song, their first joint project in 15 years. The track, titled 'The Quiet Joker', was produced for the AI art platform PixAI's mascot character, Mio.

Yuuki is known for the Violet Evergarden image song 'Violet Snow' and her work as ASUKA in FictionJunction. Matsuda composed the score for the entire Hibike! Euphonium series.

In a comment, Matsuda confirmed the 15-year gap since their last collaboration.

The music video presents an alternate story for the PixAI mascot, depicting Mio not as an idol, but as a former court jester from a demon army traveling with a hero. A four-part short story expanding on the MV's narrative, 'Brave & Fool', is available on the event page.

PixAI is currently running social media campaigns tied to the MV's release, offering prizes including gift cards and a Nintendo Switch 2. The platform's latest flagship anime generation model, Tsubaki.2, is also now publicly available.
