Hatsune Miku V6 Vocaloid Software Released

Crypton Future Media has released Hatsune Miku V6, the latest version of the virtual singer software. The update includes two distinct voice banks and is compatible with the VOCALOID6 Editor.

The software features an "Original" voice bank, described as preserving Miku's classic, bright tone, and a new "Soft" bank with a breathier, more subdued character. Both support Japanese, English, and Chinese lyrics. The synthesis engine uses VOCALOID:AI technology for more natural phrasing and the ability to blend languages within a single phrase.

New production features include an Expression parameter for vocal texture, refined controls for pitch and vibrato, and a TAKE function to generate multiple vocal variations from one phrase for harmonies.

The package artwork features a new character design by illustrator LAM.

Hatsune Miku V6 is sold as a Starter Pack, which includes the VOCALOID6 Editor, or as a standalone Voice Bank for existing editor owners. The Starter Pack is priced at 24,200 yen, with the Voice Bank at 10,780 yen. Discounted upgrade pricing is available for users who own previous versions on the SONICWIRE platform.
