TV Anime 'Ichijouma Mankitsu Kurashi!' Reveals First Episode Details

The production committee for the upcoming TV anime Ichijouma Mankitsu Kurashi! has released the synopsis and key visuals for its first episode. The series is based on the manga by Himasakumako, serialized in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara magazine.

The premiere episode, titled "An Unexpected Move to Tokyo! What Will Happen to Meiko?!" follows high schooler Meiko Morita. After being selected as a special transfer student to the prestigious Amanomiya Girls' Academy, she moves from Akita to Tokyo. Her new dormitory is also a manga cafe called Hedgehog, where she must work as part of her school duties.

Meiko's new roommates include the cafe's manager and dorm head, the ojousama Rie Amanomiya; video streamer Marika Suzuki; and hardcore gamer Nao Nakano.

The anime is directed by Yasuhiro Watanabe at studio PRA, with character designs by Fumiya Uehara. The music is composed by MONACA.

The opening theme "Ciao Ciao" is performed by Sophia la Mode. The ending theme "Yawayawa NERD Chou Frequency" is by Yumegendai Myuutype.

Ichijouma Mankitsu Kurashi! is scheduled to premiere in April 2026. It will air on the ABC TV/TV Asahi network's ANiMAZiNG. block from April 11, and on BS Nippon from April 13.
