SpecialThanks Announces 20th Anniversary Best Album and World Tour

Japanese punk-pop band SpecialThanks will release its first best-of album and launch a world tour to mark its 20th anniversary. The announcement was made at the band's March 21 concert in Tokyo.

The album, titled "YELLOW SUN -THE BEST-", is scheduled for release on May 20. It features 21 tracks, including newly re-recorded versions of 20 signature songs and one previously unreleased track. The album will be available on CD and through all major digital and subscription streaming services.

A crowdfunding campaign for the album, framed as a collaborative project with fans, is currently open. It offers limited-edition items and special experiences. The campaign runs until April 30.

The accompanying "YELLOW SUN -THE BEST- 20th ANNIVERSARY WORLD TOUR 2026" will include 17 domestic dates across Japan, as well as international stops in Seoul, Busan, Taipei, and cities on the U.S. West Coast. The U.S. schedule is still being finalized.

Tickets for the Japanese tour dates are on sale now, with an advance lottery running until March 29 and general sales beginning April 4. Details for international show tickets will be announced later.
