Miki Imai's Four Final ForLife Albums Remastered for Digital and CD Release

Miki Imai's four final albums for the ForLife label are being re-released in remastered editions.

The albums, originally released between 1992 and 1997, are being remastered by engineer Tsubasa Yamazaki. The 42 tracks will be released digitally and on Blu-spec CD2 in two batches.

The first two albums, "flow into space" and "A PLACE IN THE SUN," arrive on July 29, pp2026. "flow into space" was produced by Joe Hisaishi, who also arranged most tracks. The album features the first songs written for Imai by Tomoyasu Hotei.

"A PLACE IN THE SUN" was recorded in New York, London, and Tokyo with producers Ryuichi Sakamoto and Tomoyasu Hotei. The album ends with Ryuichi Sakamoto's instrumental piece "Watermark."

The second pair, "Love Of My Life" and "PRIDE," will be released on August 26, 2026. "Love Of My Life" features production from Tomoyasu Hotei and Yoko Kanno, with guitarist Lisa Ono performing on the bossa nova track "Daydream."

"PRIDE" was entirely produced by Hotei and recorded in London and Barbados. It became a million-selling album, driven by the popularity of its title track.

Each CD is priced at 2,500 yen including tax. The digital versions will be available on major streaming platforms.
