AI Artist OTONA Releases Debut Album 'The BEST 1986-2025'

The AI artist OTONA released its first full album today. The 39-track collection, titled 'The BEST 1986-2025', is available on streaming platforms.

OTONA is a project from the Japanese company Nihon Design. Since its debut in December 2025, the AI has generated over 50 songs.

The album's concept imagines what music from 1986 to 2025 would sound like if recreated today. It spans genres from kayokyoku and city pop to Vocaloid, electronic, and K-pop. Human creators oversee the AI's output in a co-creation model.

The tracklist includes songs like "Fanfare," "Our Glittering Future," and "Red Hope."

The album is streaming on Apple Music and Spotify. OTONA's YouTube channel plans to release over ten music videos for tracks from the album.
