BLACK TORCH Episode 6 Preview and Streaming Details

Preview images and a synopsis for episode 6 of the anime BLACK TORCH have been released. The episode, titled "Turn Up," airs in Japan on August 8 at 22:00 JST.

In the sixth episode, Jiro, Ichika, and Reiji face a trial from the mononoke, Fuyo. The challenge is a "Demon Arts Resistance Training" where they must break through a barrier resembling a phantom space to escape. Reiji and Ichika fight to overcome their personal trauma. Meanwhile, a giant, mysterious black mononoke appears before Jiro.

New episodes stream weekly on Prime Video, Disney+ Star, and Hulu. Episodes are also available for rental on YouTube.

The opening theme is "FREEZE ME UP" by SiM. The ending theme is "Groooovy" by I Don't Like Mondays.

The series is animated by the global studio 100studio. It follows Jiro, a high schooler raised by his ninja grandfather who can talk to animals. He encounters a wounded black cat named Rago, who is actually a legendary mononoke once called the "Black Ominous Star."

Key voice cast includes Ryohta Suzuki as Jiro, Yoji Ueda as Rago, and Ayaka Senbongi as Ichika. The series is directed by Kei Mabiki.
