Cardfight!! Vanguard Anime Kicks Off 15th Anniversary With Remastered First Episode

The anime series 'Cardfight. Vanguard' begins its 15th anniversary celebration with a special remastered broadcast of its first episode. The updated episode, titled '運命の先導者. (Fate's Vanguard.)', airs February 28 on Japanese television.

Bushiroad's multimedia franchise, which includes the globally distributed trading card game, launched its anime adaptation in January 2011. The TCG is sold in over 60 countries and regions, with cumulative card sales exceeding 20 billion.

Episodes two and beyond of the 15th anniversary remaster will be broadcast and distributed sequentially starting this spring. Specific dates will be announced later.

Since 2021, character designs have been handled by the artist collective CLAMP. A 2024 series, 'Divinez', features '明導アキナ (Myodo Akina)' voiced by Toshiya Miyata.
