Horror Collector Manga Hits 1 Million Sales, TV Anime Adaptation Announced for 2026

The horror manga series 'Kyofu Collector' (Horror Collector) has sold over 1 million copies. Its 28th volume, 'Volume 28: The Birth of the Red Notebook,' was released on May 13, 2026.

KADOKAWA also confirmed a TV anime adaptation. The series is scheduled to premiere in October 2026 on Japan's NHK General TV. The anime's first key visual was released alongside the manga volume.

The 'Horror Collector' series, written by Midori Sato and Noriaki Tsuruta with illustrations by Yon, follows a boy named Fushigi who investigates and dispels curses from modern urban legends. The latest volume delves into the past of a character named Maboroshi and the origins of the titular red notebook.
