Netflix's 'THE RIBBON HERO' Reveals Trailer, Theme Song by Girls Archives.

A new trailer and theme song artist have been revealed for the upcoming Netflix anime film THE RIBBON HERO. The project is based on Osamu Tezuka's classic manga Ribbon no Kishi (Princess Knight).

The song "Reborn" is performed by Girls Archives., a new Japan-Korea unit. The group is a collaboration between HYBE's NEB division and the Japanese creative company INCS toenter.

Director Yuki Igarashi leads the animation studio OUTLINE. This marks his first feature-length directorial work. Igarashi previously directed the Star Wars: Visions short "The Duel" and contributed to Jujutsu Kaisen.

Character designs are by Kei Mochizuki (Fate/Grand Order) with assistance from Mai Yoneyama (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners). The art director is Cedric Herole.

New voice cast members were also announced. Seiran Kobayashi plays Pine, a friend to the protagonist Sapphire. Kouki Uchiyama voices Velvet, an official of the religious organization Mithra. Mayumi Shintani plays the attendant Jilco.

The film is scheduled for an official screening in the Annecy Presents section of the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. It will stream on Netflix worldwide.
