Tensei Dragon Egg Anime Reveals New Key Visual, Announces AnimeJapan 2026 Event

A new key visual for the currently airing anime Tensei shitara Dragon no Tamago Datta ~Saikyou Igai Mezasanee~ (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Dragon Egg) has been released.

The new version adds two characters that appear in the story's tenth episode: the Epidemic Dragon, an evolved form of the baby dragon Ilucia, and the Little Rock Dragon.

The series, which premiered in January 2026, follows Ilucia, a man reincarnated as a dragon egg who must level up by hunting monsters just to hatch.

A special stage event is scheduled for March 28 at AnimeJapan 2026 in Tokyo. Voice actors Toki Shunichi (Ilucia) and Itou Miku (Milia) will appear alongside the series' mascot character, Ilucia-kun. A separate greeting event with the mascot is also planned at the Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures booth.

The anime features an opening theme, "Gliding Claw," by Sizuk and an ending theme, "Sky Clipper," by Doku & Sakujaku. The voice cast includes Koshimizu Ami, Kugimiya Rie, and Kusunoki Tomori.

The original novel series has sold over one million copies.
