The track is built on a dark bass house foundation, described as a rave sound. A heavy bassline and inorganic synths form the backdrop for English lyrics themed around loss and emptiness.

The song was inspired by a sense of loss stemming from a dialogue with AI. It explores the loneliness of the modern era, using motifs like the sudden disappearance of a conversational entity and the transience of digital existence.

'ZERO' is performed entirely in English. The lyrics quietly depict a sense of nothingness and the feeling of continuing to exist despite it.

His first self-produced album sold out its 1000-copy limited run in one month in 2009. His music has been featured on official Apple Music and Spotify playlists. His recent work includes commercial music for brands like UNIQLO and Kirin, and production for artists including former Tsubaki Factory member Yume Kishimoto and Up Up Girls (2).
