Hatsune Miku 20th Anniversary Costume Design Winner Announced

Crypton Future Media has selected the winning costume design for Hatsune Miku's 20th anniversary project. The design was chosen from 652 entries submitted to a public contest on the creator platform Piapro.

Artist Asis won the grand prize. Their design will be used as the official visual costume for the virtual singer throughout the 2026-2027 anniversary project. It will also be produced as a Nendoroid action figure through a collaboration with Good Smile Company.

Judges called the design "dressy" and noted its key-shaped scepter. The design retains elements of Miku's original outfit while incorporating new glittering details.

Two runner-up awards were also announced. The Good Smile Award went to Shuno, and the Crypton Award was given to Yukimotoritsu.

Hatsune Miku will celebrate her 20th anniversary on August 31, 2027. Her HATSUNE MIKU EXPO world tour series has performed 139 shows across 55 cities internationally.
