AliA Releases Post-Hiatus Album 'mate', Announces Tokyo Live

Hybrid rock band AliA released their new album 'mate' today. It is their first album since resuming activities in April 2026 after an 18-month hiatus.

The 8-track album includes six new songs and two previously released tracks. Lead single "あまのじゃく" (Amanojaku) premiered with an official lyric video on YouTube. The album is available globally via streaming services.

Vocalist AYAME described the album as addressing universal feelings of self-doubt and the pressure to conform. "Each song has its own story, its own life," she said. "I hope listeners find a track that feels like it might be about them." The title 'mate' translates to 'friend' or 'companion'.

The band also announced a one-man live show, "AliAliVe2026 'mate'", scheduled for November 27 at Spotify O-WEST in Tokyo.
