Animatica Debuts Comedic 'Fist of the North Star' Short Anime

A new comedic twist on the classic 'Fist of the North Star' franchise is set to debut with the short anime 'Hokuto no Ken: Kenougun Zako-tachi no Banka'. Produced by the newly established Animatica, this series offers a humorous take on the iconic story.

The project, a collaboration between Frontier Works and DouRaku, marks Animatica's first venture. The anime is directed by Daisuke Miura, with Hiroshi Kurao handling the artwork. The series will be available on global platforms like Hulu and Prime Video.

The storyline follows Nobu, who finds himself employed by the notorious Kenou Army in a post-apocalyptic world. The narrative focuses on the 'Zako' characters, infamous for their humorous antics and repeated failures.

Voice actors include Hiro Shimono as Nobu, with Shinnosuke Saito and Masaaki Yano voicing other key characters. The opening theme, 'Blacker Co., Ltd.' by Itsuka, and the ending theme, 'Elegy of the Enemies' by The Canbellz, add to the series' unique tone.
