Band Wasureranneyo Releases 'Nannmonee' Music Video for Anime 'Yani Neko'

The music video for 'Nannmonee,' the opening theme for the Summer 2026 anime 'Yani Neko,' has been released. The track is by the band Wasureranneyo.

Wasureranneyo, fronted by vocalist and guitarist Takahiro Shibata, also created the theme song for 'Kaiji.' The 'Nannmonee' video, directed by longtime collaborator Kato Mani, features cameos from the anime's voice cast: Yuuko Natsuyoshi (Yani Neko) and Tetsu Inada (the landlord). The video also includes the anime's director, Taku Kimura, and the manga's creator, Nyan Nyan Factory.

The anime 'Yani Neko' is based on a manga by Nyan Nyan Factory serialized in Young Magazine. It follows Yani Neko, a slacker cat-person who lives a lazy, smoke-filled life. The series began airing in Japan on July 2 and is available on various streaming platforms after broadcast.

Wasureranneyo has declared an intention to perform a solo show at the Nippon Budokan in 2028. A supporting tour titled 'We Love to Say' is scheduled for August 2026 at venues in Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo.
