The group focused on the relationship between current UK jazz and electronic music, blending live instrumentation with programmed beats for a club-oriented sound.

A lead single, the 2-step/grime track "mosaic," is already available. The full album follows on March 4.

Black petrol has performed at major festivals including Summer Sonic, Fuji Rock, China's Strawberry Music Festival, and Bangkok Music City. The group also performed a band set with Skaai in Yokohama last year.

A three-date club tour in Japan will accompany the album's release. The tour stops in Osaka on March 13, Tokyo on March 19, and Kyoto on April 25. Support acts include Aru-2, Sorane, moshigigam, and Sakepnk.

The album "Diaspora" and the single "mosaic" are available for pre-save and streaming via The Orchard.
