Chou Kaguyahime!' Blu-ray Release Set for September with Exclusive Bonus Content

The original Netflix anime film 'Chou Kaguyahime!' will release on Blu-ray on September 9. Pre-orders for both a standard and a deluxe limited edition are now open.

The film, a global Netflix Original, is directed by Seigo Koyama. Its music features tracks from Vocaloid producers ryo (supercell), kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra, and yuigot.

The deluxe limited edition is a three-disc set. It includes a bonus CD with all 11 vocal tracks from the film plus a newly recorded duet version of the song "Reply" performed by the characters Kaguyahime and Saaya. A second bonus disc contains an extended cut of the film with additional scenes, a character commentary track, and the music video for the new duet version.

The film has drawn over one million viewers in Japanese theaters since its February release, grossing over 2 billion yen. Its music has also charted, with the track "ray Chou Kaguyahime! Version" reaching number one on the Oricon weekly digital album chart and YouTube's weekly music video rankings.

The standard Blu-ray includes the theatrical version and five welcome announcement videos that played before screenings. Store-specific pre-order bonuses are listed on the official website.

The film is currently streaming worldwide on Netflix.
