Cule Nasm release digital single 'Kokorobi'

Cule Nasm released their first single of 2026, 'Kokorobi' (Heartfire), on May 6.

Vocalist and guitarist Moei, who also created the single artwork, described the song as capturing the feeling of confronting an introspective self in a stagnant atmosphere. The lyrics express a desire to keep moving forward, imperfectly, without conforming to others' values.

Guitarist Kenjiro said the song is about the small fire that continues to burn inside, a metaphor for a driving force or a forgotten memory that reignites. Bassist Makoto noted a strong sense during recording that each layered phrase was solidifying into the band's definitive sound.

Drummer Shuta called it a new emotional territory for Cule Nasm, aligning it with a sense of quiet, accumulated frustration. He described the resulting track as more aggressive than expected.

The digital single 'Kokorobi' is available on major streaming platforms via a standard OR code link.

Cule Nasm is scheduled to perform at the Kyoto Geigeki 2026 event on August 11 at KYOTO MUSE and Tettaku. The lineup also includes Hakubi and yutori, among others. Ticket information is available on the event page.
