Daichi Yamamoto Releases 'Still' for Hip-Hop Anime 'Shadow Beat'

Daichi Yamamoto's new song "Still" releases worldwide on August 7. The track is the eighth theme for the hip-hop short anime series "Shadow Beat."

The song was produced for the anime's eighth episode.

"Still" is distributed globally by PCI MUSIC. The music video premieres on the Shadow Beat official YouTube channel on August 7 at 5:00 PM JST.

The 3DCG video is set in a digital Shibuya.

Daichi Yamamoto is an MC born in Kyoto to a Japanese father and Jamaican mother. He studied in London and is signed to Jazzy Sport. His 2019 track "Shanghai Band" was highlighted by Lupe Fiasco on social media.

He was selected for Spotify's "Early Noise 2020" list of emerging Japanese artists. His first album "Andless" won a special award at the Apple Vinegar Music Award 2020.

"Shadow Beat" is a joint project between Plott and Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic editorial department. The series follows students from the "Class 5th Army" who express their inner darkness through emotional rap over lo-fi beats.
