Digimon Franchise Expands with New Anime Chapter and Game Updates

Toei Animation announced a new anime chapter 'Digimon Beatbreak' and game content updates.

The upcoming chapter, titled 'Tactics', will begin airing on January 4, 2026. A preview video and visual materials have been released, introducing new characters voiced by Toshiyuki Toyonaga and Rie Kugimiya. The series will stream on Prime Video and Hulu.

In addition to the anime, the Digimon card game is set to expand with new decks featuring characters from 'Digimon Beatbreak' and 'Digimon Savers'.

The 'Time Stranger' game will also receive a second DLC pack, adding new Digimon and story episodes. A preview video has been released, showcasing the new content.

Music from the series, including the main theme 'Resonance' and the insert song 'Edge of Limit', is now available on global streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. These tracks were composed by Arisa Okehazama.

New merchandise includes plush toys and collectible figures. The 'Chibigurumi' series will feature characters from 'Digimon Beatbreak', while a new collaboration with Godzilla introduces a special line of figures.

'DIGIMON CON 2026' is set for March as a global event. The first Blu-ray box set for 'Digimon Ghost Game' is in development.
