DOES Marks 20th Anniversary with New Single 'No Longer Human'

The rock band DOES will release a new single, 'No Longer Human' (人間失格), on September 6. The song is inspired by Osamu Dazai's classic novel of the same name.

This is the first of three consecutive monthly digital releases planned to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary. The single's cover art is an original illustration by Harukawa35, the artist behind the popular anime and manga series 'Bungo Stray Dogs'. The monochrome artwork depicts the three band members.

Vocalist and guitarist Wataru Ujihara sings the line, "A life full of shame is fine, isn't it?"

DOES, known for anime theme songs for series like 'Gintama' and 'NARUTO', recently completed a tour in Peru, Chile, and Mexico, performing at the 'FLOW THE ANIME ROCK 2026' festival.

A 20th-anniversary concert, "Thanksloving!", is scheduled for September 13 at Zepp Shinjuku in Tokyo. An overseas series of "Thanksloving!" shows will follow in Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur.

The new single 'No Longer Human' will be available on global platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.
