Harumaki Gohan's Original Anime 'Onee-chan Gokko' Launches in 2026

Harumaki Gohan, known for his work as a Vocaloid producer and animator, will debut his first original long-form anime, 'Onee-chan Gokko', in January 2026. The anime will be produced by Harumaki's indie team, Studio Gohan.

The series follows Akane Higure, a middle school student in the rural village of Kyoumi, as she anticipates the return of her sister, Sui Higure, from the hospital. The story takes a mysterious turn when Akane receives a phone call warning her that the person in her house is not her sister.

The main cast includes Isekai Joucho, who has previously collaborated with Harumaki Gohan, and newcomer Erika Miyazaki.

The project is supported by a team including director and writer Harumaki Gohan, and features animation by Kagen Oyuh, background art by Yoshigoi, and music by an ensemble cast.

Harumaki Gohan, a Vocaloid producer from Sapporo, is known for his hit tracks like 'Song Title' and animations such as 'Animation Title'. His official YouTube channel will host the anime.
